let me tell you mine..
I’m a proud boy mom to two wild (possibly feral) little boys and we have another little babe arriving this fall! I'm married to my high school sweetheart and recently moved from Coggon to Center Point, Iowa. My life is loud, full of love, and just the right amount of chaos... and that’s exactly how I like it.
I love chasing golden hour with my camera, singing along to 90’s country, Marvel movies ("Higher, further, faster baby."), and believe ice cream is always worth the trip into town.
I photograph just about everything, but my heart always comes back to families, seniors, and kiddos; the real, messy, joy-filled moments that make up a life. Forget the pressure of the “perfect” photo, I’ll handle the magic. You just show up and love on your people.
And.. if my name sounds familiar, you might’ve seen it on a billboard or a ballot. I have the honor of serving as a Linn County Supervisor. Public service and photography might seem worlds apart, but to me they go hand in hand. Both are about people, connection, and seeing the good even on the messy days.
In one role, I help shape policy that touches people’s everyday lives. In the other, I get to capture the faces, stories, and small moments that are those lives. Both remind me how lucky I am to see Linn County from two lenses: one of service, and one of storytelling.
So, that's me. Public servant, storyteller, wife, mom, chaos coordinator... I would hate for life to be boring.
